Sense: Crossing Bridges Event
Saturday 24th June
11.45am – fully wheelchair accessible sensory walk – experience the Quay in a new way.
Transit Shed, Exeter Quay (opposite the Prospect Inn)
Marking Deafblind Awareness Week, Sense will provide opportunities to understand the challenges faced by those who are deafblind. Learn simple signing, make a sign bookmark as a reminder and try reading Braille.
Art show, craft activities plus refreshments on sale from Cafe 55.
Cricklepit Garden Open Day
Sunday 25th June
Cricklepit Mill, between The Quay and Exe Bridges
Join Devon Wildlife Trust and discover the wonderful wildlife at the charities headquarters, Cricklepit Mill.
Often described as an ‘urban oasis’ in the heart of the city, DWT want to invite the public to explore their RHS award-winning wildlife garden.
DWT’s garden group volunteers will be on hand to offer garden tours and give helpful advice on how to turn your garden into a wildlife haven. Children can enjoy nature trails, bug hunting and wild crafts in the garden. DWT will also be selling wildlife friendly plants for you to take home and add to your garden. Refreshments will also be on offer.
RSPCA Little Valley Family Fun Day & Dog Show
Sunday 25th June
11am to 4pm
Venue: Little Valley Animal Shelter, Black Hat Lane, Bakers Hill, Exeter EX2 9TA
Entry: Adults £1, Children 5op, Under 5s Free
Stalls, Refreshments, Bar, Fun & Games for all the family including your dog. Plus get to look around the Shelter at the work we do and the animals we have here waiting for new homes.
