Exeter Family Friendly Summer Holiday Bucket List 35 activities for your family in Exeter I’ve really enjoyed putting together all the lists of fabby family friendly events and outings in and around Exeter this summer but there are so many, it’s almost overwhelming.

So here is MY bucket list. Not an exhaustive list of all that’s happening, just my family’s wish list. I’ll update as we go through the summer so you can see how we get on!

      1. Complete the Green Circle Walk
      2. Take a river boat trip
      3. Cycle to Exmouth
      4. Visit the climbing wall
      5. Go rockpooling
      6. Have a wild camp
      7. Visit Splashdown in Paignton
      8. Take a canoe trip at Cotehele
        We’ve booked! I’ll update after we have been on our trip but here’s who we are going with:

      9. Make a nature diary
      10. Go on a foraging walk
      11. Make s’mores
      12. Visit RAMM’s Sea Life exhibition and dress up as a lobster

      14. Learn to cycle without stabilisers
      15. Visit Central Library and have a picnic in Rougemont Gardens
      16. Eat ice cream on the Quay
      17. Do a 2 minute beach clean
      18. Go fossil hunting at Charmouth
      19. Follow the Gruffalo trail at Haldon Forest
      20. See some of Unpacked Family Theatre Festival
      21. Climb to the top of the Cathedral
      22. Rope swing into a river
      23. Eat chips on the beach as the sun goes down
      24. Go paddle boarding
      25. Go to a Milling Day at Cricklepit Mill
      26. Take a coastal walk and complete a story stick
      27. Go bat spotting
      28. Jump off the tower on the Quay
      29. Make a nature weaving
      30. Make a huge sand city with castle, moats and sea defences
      31. Swim in as many lidos as possible
      32. Walk in a wild flower meadow
      33. Listen to music in the park
      34. Climb a really tall tree
      35. Make clay flower and leaf tiles
