Exeter Homebirth Group

Hello Home Birth Group Supporters,

Happy New Year to you all! We hope you have enjoyed a relaxing break and look forward to seeing you next week, on Tues 14th Jan, 7.30-9pm at Sylvania Hall, for our next meeting.

In January we will be joined by Mel James, who runs six week courses for parents with a focus on yoga based stress management. Read more about Mel on her facebook page ‘Elixir Wellbeing Solutions’:

We will also have plenty of time for questions and discussions around birth and homebirth in general and refreshments are available throughout.

Exeter Homebirth Group is a not-for-profit group, run by volunteers and we are very grateful to those of you who support us. We welcome donations towards the running of the group and we suggest around £2 per person towards hall hire and refreshments. We also ask for a returnable deposit for books or DVDs borrowed from our library.

A special request this month: Donations gratefully received of anything to sell at a table top sale

Alice is going to throw herself out of an aeroplane this year to help raise awareness and funds to help the Group buy more pools, pay for the hut each month and many more things to assist the group to support people considering a home birth.

So in Feb or March (date to be confirmed) there will be a table top sale along with cake stall to help raise funds towards the jump and hopefully a lot more that will then be donated to the group.

Please do bring any unwanted Christmas presents (for a tombola), bric a brac, good clothing etc that can be sold on the day. Also anyone willing to help out on the day will be welcomed!

I have storage so please feel free to bring donations to the meeting or let me know where to collect from. Contact me on alicebardwell@hotmail.com

If you have any queries, suggestions or offers of support for the group. please contact Claire Arnold on c.e.arnold@hotmail.co.uk.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 12th,

Claire, Kate & Alice
