The Winter Fair Exeter Cathedral, 7th-8th November
The perfect way to shop a whole host of local, independent retailers and find the best Christmas gifts. There will be over 60 unique stalls and each one will donate 10% of their sales to the Cathedral so you can help preserve Exeter’s most iconic building too.
Madgalen Road Christmas Fair, 2nd December
The road is closed to traffic so it’s a lovely way to experience stress-free shopping with children. As well as all the indie shops on the road, there will be 50 stalls so you can shop, eat, drink and meet friends at this festive Christmas fair.
Tots Club Xmas, Occombe Farm, 11th-15th December
Tots come along to Occombe for a very Christmassy morning, we will start off with some festive storytelling warm by the fire, complete a glittering Christmas trail and then finish off with some Christmas crafts. Suitable for: Toddlers- 5yr olds, babies can come at no extra charge.
Santa Express Steam Train Dartmouth Steam Railway, 24th December
Take a trip on the steam train with Sleeping Beauty and Father Christmas will visit you at your seat with his sleigh and band of merry helpers. Onboard live entertainment and a gift for children.
Santa’s Magical Christmas at Crealy Weekends in December
The park will be open and sprinkled with a little bit of Christmas magic. Each child will receive a gift and have the opportunity to grab an ‘elfie’ (elf-selfie!). Call into the gift shop to claim your tickets to Santa’s Magical Christmas show.
Nativity plays and visits to Father Christmas, Pennywell Farm, from 25th November
An authentic manger scene with the opportunity to take part, a visit to Father Christmas and a beautifully decorated barn full of animals. Perfect for those who prefer a more traditional Christmas experience.
Coleton aglow, Coleton Fishacre, various dates
A trip to Christmas past – wander through the beautifully decorated gardens festooned with lights and visit the house as it prepares for a spectacular festive season, 1920’s style. Book in advance with the National Trust.
Adult Christmas creative crafters evening, Creation Station, Exminister, 6th December
One for the grownups – join in the festive fun with a glass of mulled wine and make two Christmas creations – a rag wreath and log slice decoration.
Christmas with the Cathedral Choir, 9th December
This is a glorious and uplifting evening, whether or not you attend Church. Join the Cathedral Choir as they perform carols old and new. Booking essential.
