Random Acts of Kindness. Doing something unexpectedly just to cheer someone else up.
Could be baking a cake for a friend who is a bit down, giving something away on a Facebook group for free, going to an care home to visit someone who doesn’t have any family or sweeping the path for the little old lady down the road.
These are all the things that make the world a better place to live in but sadly we all seem to be so busy with our own lives that sometimes we forget about the small kindnesses that can really make someone else’s day.
Not so on 1st March, for it is AMOK Exeter 2014 – Annual Melee of Kindness – a global day of kindness.
They are looking for people volunteer a few hours on 1st March to perform kind deeds in our community to raise a few spirits and spread the word that you can make the world a better place starting with the person next to you.
You can find out more on their Facebook Group
What do you think you will do? I’m going to sort through the girls’ toys and take some up to Bramble Ward, bake some cakes to give out in town.
